"Hello,
My wife downloaded something from Softonic and paid the ultimate price. We had lots of malware to remove using Malwarebytes and it seemed to be working ok. However, there is a service named onfemisquia that, when turned off, prevents web browsers from accessing the the Internet, returning a bad proxy message.
