They either appear to be simple and legit or be considerate by offering free scan and some suggestions. Be careful of those free thingies since you’ll be brought to buy certain security tools as suggested at the end of the scan for the sake of your PC health because some of its detected items cannot be easily removed by any program but the promoted one. Remember not to fall into the trap! You’ll get no good and more PC troubles will come along.

‘I'm unable to resolve this after 2 hours of trying solutions on the web. I have tried going to about:config and changing the keyword to the google address url, and it is the google url, but still my default engine is search-results.com. (Why this has to be so difficult in Firefox is beyond me). I have run multiple anti-virus and anti-spyware programs and nothing is detected. I'm now officially giving up on this cr*ppy browser. I know it's free software and maybe I shouldn't complain, but Firefox is crashing so often (with the "cute" error message "snap!") and then there is this unsolvable problem that you can't set your default search provider that in my book Firefox is actually malware.’

As for www1.saerch-reaults.com and dts.search-results.com redirect, they usually don’t appear as a search bar but offer you with unrelated search results that are mainly advertisements and spam sites containing hypelinks with their domain name at the beginning of the URL. By doing so, www1.saerch-reaults.com and dts.search-results.com redirect manage to follow your surfing habit and gain the chance to record your type-in information.
